MEET FEATURED SPEAKER

Dr. Lisa Beymer

Lisa serves as Faculty Advisor for Cru Boise State, is active in Cru Faculty Fellows, and was one of the founding members of Boise State’s now-growing Cru Faculty Commons group.

Dr. Beymer will share stories of how God is at work on her campus. She addresses the busyness of being a professor, balancing faith in academia, and trusting God in the “thick” of being faithful on campus.

She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Education at Boise State University, where she teaches courses and supervises clinical placements for undergraduate pre-service teachers. Her areas of professional scholarship are Early Literacy and Special Education.

Lisa is first and foremost a Daughter of the Most High King, a wife, and a mom. A born-and-raised Idahoan, Lisa and her family reside in a small town on the outskirts of Boise, where they spend their days enjoying the outdoors, serving at church, and keeping up with baseball schedules.

One day, she would like to say that she has summited at least three major mountain peaks in the United States.

MEET FEATURED SPEAKER

Rick Hove

For twenty years, Rick has served as the national director of Faculty Commons, Cru’s ministry to university professors.

He and Dr. Heather Holleman co-wrote A Grander Story: An Invitation to Christian Professors, which is now in five languages.

Rick has served for many years with professors from all over the world. He understands the challenges you face as you are building your career. Yet, when you hear Rick speak, you get a deeper appreciation of who Jesus is and a better understanding of your identity in Christ.

He has a way of bringing clarity of purpose through God’s Word and has helped many discover the joy of the journey God has given them.

He studied civil engineering at Georgia Tech, graduating with highest honors, and earned his master’s of divinity at Trinity International University (summa cum laude).

He and his wife, Sonya, live in Durham and are sweetly blessed to have their kids and grandkids in the Triangle as well.

We encourage you to get to know Lisa and Rick during the conference.
